Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute product strategy and pricing rationale to achieve/exceed business goals for identified product lines, utilizing internal and market data/analytics while collaborating and building strong working relationships with Acquisitions, Sales, Operations and Inventory Management.
- Evaluate and identify most appropriate sales channels in support of product strategy; monitor and adjust as necessary.
- Meet/exceed established revenue and margin goals.

- Drive sell / hold strategy while achieving revenue and margin goals based on changing market demands. This includes determining whether to sell the product as an assembly or breaking it down to sub-assemblies to achieve margin goals.
- Identify and develop marketing push strategy for inventory to be included in auctions and lot sales.
- Develop sales strategy by product line for existing and future known inventory to include evaluating for outright and/or exchange transactions and incorporating life limits with regards to pricing.
- Demonstrate inclusiveness and clear thinking by driving and garnering the support of the organization to execute the product marketing strategy.
- Make continuous improvements to our customers experience utilizing Quality Management System “QMS” within GECAS AMS Inventory Management System (ICS).

My latest Memphis Daily News column is out, “What We Can All Learn From Techies.” In it, I discuss a trend I’ve noticed in the technology world that we could all take a few cues from.
Sunday night, when most of us were relaxing and watching the Golden Globe Awards, I received a text from a friend. It said, “I spent some time today figuring out a new video software.” And, it had a link to a fun short video.
This friend doesn’t use video at work, but he and two other IT guys are creating a YouTube channel. This is the second project for the team, who also recently started a podcast, to learn about podcasting.
This occurrence isn’t an uncommon one in the technology world. Techies are creating new social work groups on Meetup.com every day. They gather together and learn how to use software like WordPress, Python, Java, Oracle and PHP. They bounce ideas off of one another about how to start a podcast, how to build video games or how to make mobile apps.
