Angela Copeland has coached job seekers for over 10 years. She is the host of the Copeland Coaching Podcast, Career Corner newspaper columnist, and author of career book “Breaking The Rules & Getting The Job.”

Angela’s personal career background gives her the breadth to help job seekers with a variety of different needs. Angela’s career has spanned both technology and business. She has worked as an engineer, a technologist, and a marketer in many environments, from non-profit to corporate. She has also worked in many different industries, including financial services, home services, shipping, retail, travel, and automotive.
At her role of Vice President of Digital and eCommerce at First Tennessee Bank, she was the business owner for retail online banking website and the bank’s mobile channels. Previously, Angela was the Director of Digital Strategy and Marketing at ServiceMaster. She built the digital marketing strategy of the company’s franchise brands: Merry Maids, ServiceMaster Clean, Furniture Medic, and AmeriSpec. Angela’s efforts focus on increasing customer acquisition through many online sources, including search engine marketing, search engine optimization, e-mail marketing, and social media. Angela grew the Merry Maids online acquisition channel from infancy to generating over 60% of the US sales for the Merry Maids corporate branches. Prior to ServiceMaster, Angela was was the Director of Internet Marketing for the Memphis CVB. Angela was also part of the IT team at FedEx, and the engineering teams at Westinghouse and General Motors.
Angela earned a MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. She has a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. In 2011, Angela was selected by the Memphis Business Journal for Top 40 Under 40. She grew up tall outside of Oklahoma City, where she is a sixth-generation Oklahoman.
