This position is a little different than those I normally share. Whole Foods is looking for a Coffee Buyer in Memphis. They’re looking for someone with at least 1 year of coffee experience and knowledge of the organic food industry. It doesn’t appear to require an advanced degree, but more real world experience.
As the Coffee Buyer, your role will include ordering, replenishing, and merchandising coffee products. You will have some discretion regarding quantity and product selection, and will be empowered to source some products from local vendors. Additionally you will work to maintain attractive Specialty displays and supporting the regional Specialty vision. They’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. The person should be considering earning their CPA and MBA.
This position will participate in a Finance Leadership Development Program. The program consists of a series of departmental rotations within the Global Financial Solutions (GFS) Shared Service organization over a 2-3 year period. The program is designed to provide participants with hands-on professional experience and focused skill development through exposure to key GFS operational and accounting processes. Specific rotational assignments and assignment duration will both be dependent on the candidate’s skill set, performance, and business requirements. Program participants will be eligible for permanent associate positions after successful completion of at least two rotational assignments.
