The Brooks Museum is seeking a Manager of Special Events & Facility Rentals in Memphis, TN.
Responsible for producing and managing all special events for the museum, including opening celebrations, donor cultivation events, fundraising events, community receptions, and other special events benefitting the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, as well as managing all external facility rentals. Builds enterprise income through the promotion of rental of space to external organizations, wedding planners, and individuals. Work with the communications team to market the facility and drive sales. Participates at a high level in the development of fundraising events plans, including goal setting, objectives, strategies, evaluation and cost effective techniques. Leads planning and execution of all special events, recruitment of event participants, sponsors, donors and committee members. Participates in the creation of marketing plans and campaigns, which promote brand awareness and support fundraising efforts. Works closely with the director of development to establish event sponsors and annual and long-term goals for museum fundraising events. Coordinates events with staff across the museum. Seeks vintners, chefs and restaurants for each fundraising season and assists with logistics and travel.
