Support a Federal Agency on their Wintel and IT Infrastructure. Job responsibilities: run the spectrum from Operations and Maintanenance activities to supporting full System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) projects. The candidate must demonstrate: Solid understanding of Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2 along with their base Services to include; Domain Name Services (DNS), Windows Internet Name Services (WINS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Global Address List (GAL), Active Directory (AD), Remote Access Security, PIV Ability to design/document, install, configure, operate, and maintain Microsoft Windows based applications and services to include; Microsoft Active Directory 2008 R2 (and newer), File and Print Services for Windows 2008 R2 (and newer), Microsoft Hyper-V v2/3, Microsoft Distributed File System (DFS) 2008 R2 (and newer). Understanding of and ability to identify/document/implement Microsoft and vendor best practices across platforms. Ability to troubleshoot issues, under pressure, both independently and within a larger team with the ultimate focus on rapid problem identification and resolution. Accustomed to briefing senior management and large audiences throughout service restoration activities. Comfortable with developing written Root Cause Analsis (RCA) document with regard to cause of issue, diagnostic approach and remediation of issue. Understanding of Storage and Data management technologies (EMC). Hands-on and current experience developing automated scripts. Comfortable architecting new solutions and integrating other engineering resources, example (Network, F5, Database, Monitoring) for new products Must be comfortable working in a heavy change management process driven environment.
