The Morningstar Applications group seeks an enthusiastic, results-driven Technology Manager to enhance our industry-leading client-facing products. This role reports to the Director of Technology for the Applications group, with responsibility for development, maintenance and execution of a roadmap for one or more functional and product areas within the Applications group. This role will help implement Morningstar`s data driven research and product development while helping our clients meet investor demands. The Applications group owns Morningstar`s client-facing applications including Direct, Office, our research applications and tools, Advisor Workstation and Morningstar.com. We build highly scalable applications and services to present Morningstar data and research through coherent information architecture, catered to our multiple client segments. The Director of Technology role manages a team of developers, working closely with our offshore teams to achieve strategic objectives. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, work within a collaborative team environment, resolve issues, define escalation protocols, build consensus, and implement solutions. Candidates should be self-motivated, innovative, and flexible with a passion for investing and a constant willingness to learn.
