New Belgium Brewing is seeking a Brand Manager of Innovation in Denver, CO.
This new hire will play an important role in our future growth plans by leading the creation and launch of differentiated beer brands as well as exploring new products beyond beer.
The Innovation Brand Manager will report directly to the Strategic Branding Director and will be responsible for identifying new innovation platforms, assessing their viability and then bringing them to market. More specifically, the Innovation Brand Manager will lead a talented cross-functional team of our fellow co-owners and will be responsible for shepherding platforms and product concepts through our new beers and packaging process, considering strategic, consumer, technical, and business viability. The Innovation Brand Manager will need to balance the need for creativity and an entrepreneurial approach with strategy and discipline. He or she will also work with our sales team, senior leadership team and our biggest customers to ensure strategic alignment. The type of person we are looking for will have passion for beer, an entrepreneurial spirit, and will be able to balance creativity and scrappiness with strategic and commercial acumen. They must be able to work across the organization and have the ability to get great results quickly from a cross-functional team while also being able to sell their ideas to Senior Leadership, Sales, Distributors and Retail Customers. The ideal candidate would have demonstrated past success in developing a longer term new product pipeline by leveraging consumer insights, sales trends, and R&D trends and then successfully launching those new pipeline ideas into the marketplace.
