Volkswagen is seeking a Senior Manager of CPO in Herndon, VA.
The Senior Manager, CPO will develop and execute the business strategy and plans related to Used Cars and CPO sales growth in support of the achievement of VW’s operational sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overall Used Car Strategy for Volkswagen with a focus on residual value retention and retail sales growth.
- Ensure a best in class CPO program for VW by evaluating competitive products and ensuring industry leading pricing, warranty, inspection, roadside assistance and other program features. In collaboration with Volkswagen Credit, continue to develop competitive ancillary products to support CPO growth.
- Establish a Used Car strategy which will allow new car sales targets to be achieved. Develop and oversee an aggressive conquesting strategy in preparation for future ambitious new car sales.
- Review and implement best in class business intelligence relating to the Used Car business. Proactively anticipate latest industry trends and ensure Volkswagen is repositioning its tactics, strategy and focus to maintain competitiveness in both product and market share.
- Lead and develop team towards achievement of growth targets. Articulate strategy, set targets, encourage collaboration and idea generation all while maintaining a highly motivated and engaged team.
- Lead communications to actively engage dependent internal VW functions and dealers in the Used Car businesses. Lead forums and ensure all stakeholders are informed and supportive of current and future strategies.
- Oversee the management, utilization and optimization of the Used Car budget.
- Lead the forecasting and objectives setting for the Used Car businesses. Ensure the achievement of all revenue and profit goals.
- Liaise and collaborate with Finance, Product and other partner business units in an effort to maximize the effectiveness of programs and projects. Gain support from senior leadership to promote business plans and strategies that will lead to achievement of sales targets.
- Liaise with Volkswagen Credit regarding retail financing incentives and remarketing strategies to maximize retail sales and wholesale engagement across the dealer network.
- Collaborate with Field teams/VW Dealers to understand latest trends in CPO and Used Car Markets.
