Girl Scouts Heart of the South is seeking a Director of Fund Development in Memphis, TN.
This person creates long range development strategies to meet the organization’s fiduciary goals and objectives. They advise and consult with the CEO and provides professional expertise and direction to the Board of Directors and Fund Development Committee Chair. They demonstrate a strong passion for the Girl Scouts Heart of the South mission of girl leadership and development.
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in development and fundraising, preferably in a non-profit environment. The candidate should possess demonstrated success in receiving annual results and must possess proven management skills with a direct reporting relationship from development staff. The candidate must also possess demonstrated leadership, marketing and donor cultivation skills as well as proven multi-year success raising funds through Boards of Directors and Community Advisory Boards. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge is also required.
