Columbia University is searching for a Director of Development in New York, NY.
Incumbent will report to Executive Director of Development and will manage multi-level assignments, serve as internal and external liaison to CUMC related areas and programs, including the Department of Medicine, and lead overall development efforts in specific Divisions. Incumbent will manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects consisting of corporations, foundations and individual; develop strategies and cultivate relationships that lead to solicitation and stewardship of major gifts; serve as primary liaison to the departments, centers, institutes & programs in the Health Sciences and several external groups including advisory boards, support groups or other community outreach programs; participate in prospect assessment and assignment processes. Supervisory and management responsibilities as assigned; annually prepare objectives for the upcoming academic year.
