One of my favorite places in Memphis is looking for a new Operations Director: Overton Park. Below is a summary of the position. To learn more and to apply on their website, click here.
Do you have the ability to see the forest, the trees, and everything in between?
Does the idea of spending your days in Overton Park sound appealing to you?
Are you experienced in park operations, land management, horticulture, or facility maintenance?
Then we might have the perfect fit for you!
Overton Park Conservancy is seeking a new Director of Operations & Capital Improvements. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Overton Park, including working with our landscape and facility contractors, architects and construction crews, our partners at the City of Memphis, park users, and volunteers.
A typical day might include walking through the Old Forest in search of invasive plants or downed tree limbs, meeting with contractors about the progress of a construction project, developing a schedule for seasonal maintenance with our landscape crew, and checking in with our Team Overton Park volunteer log to identify and repair maintenance issues.
