Rhodes College is seeking a Director of Community Standards in Memphis, TN.

The Director provides leadership on student issues of ethical development and fosters ethical development, personal accountability, and civility toward others. Advises and trains conduct boards, including Social Regulations Council, Honor Council, and assist with sexual misconduct board. Investigate alleged policy violations of student sexual misconduct. Serve as hearing officer. Review, revise, and update policies and procedures regarding student conduct. Coordinates administrative records, including conduct records, filing, and dean’s certification forms. Provide educational programs and opportunities for students. The Director serves as the coordinator of Parent/Family Weekend. This person shares crisis management, and coordinates student programming, which includes some weekend and evening hours. Student relationships in our city influence perception of peers and the college, and this position serves as an advocate for commuter students.

One of my favorite weeks of the year is here – Valentine’s Day! I hope you have a great week, filled with happiness and love.

And, speaking of love – do you love your job? I recently took a CNN.com quiz called, “Is your job awesome?” As I expected, my job was rated as awesome. What would you rate your job?

The quiz includes questions like:

  • Do you like what you do?
  • Is your job low stress?
  • Does it benefit society?

After you answer these questions and a few more, the CNN Money poll rates your job’s awesomeness. And, even better, it compares your answers to the other people who have taken the quiz. As of today, over 8,500 people have responded.

AT&T is seeking a Director of Business Operations in Dallas, TX.

Manages capital and expense tracking for IT project budget as well as department program budget. Partners with IT account management and finance to establish and manage performance and targets. Management of resources to develops business cases in cooperation with partner organizations and secures interlock on assumptions and values. Tracks business performance against business cases and provides guidance on requirements to achieve targets. Responsible for managing and tracking capital and IT budgets for Business Digital Experience, tracking and managing agile roadmap planning, HR-related activities and managing operational activities for the organization. The team will create the structure, standards, and practices to guide the program and ensure horizontal integration of activities across work streams / projects. Additional responsibilities include prioritizing projects, leading release planning and readiness activities, as well as Business Digital Experience cross-functional governance strategy and meetings with partner organizations. This position will lead HR-related activities including managing business unit headcount and contractor tracking mix, responsibility for business compliance, and other policy and procedure coordination on behalf of the Business Digital Experience organization. Additional operational responsibilities include on-boarding, asset management, environment/space planning, business continuity and contingency planning. Manage FTE and incremental resources. Determines work prioritization and handles day-to-day administrative duties. Provides coaching and development of resources.
