The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) seeks a Director of Marketing responsible for developing an institutional marketing strategy that builds awareness for the MFA, while identifying and growing Museum audiences. The ideal candidate should have experience creating comprehensive marketing plans and advertising campaigns across media channels – digital, social, search, and traditional. Responsibilities include: developing strategies for the MFA brand and its exhibitions and programs; tracking audience and campaign metrics and providing timely insight and analysis; conducting audience research; leading the Marketing team and collaborating across communications and museum functions; identifying and working with community, corporate and media partners; determining key messages and directing creative; and managing agency partners. S/he should be able to move from strategic to tactical while remaining pro-active, and demonstrate excellent leadership and communications skills.
