The School of the Art Institute of Chicago is seeking a Director of Exhibit Operations in Chicago, IL.
We are currently seeking a Director of Exhibitions Operations who will lead a team of preparators, technicians, contractors, seasonal staff, and student workers in the execution of all exhibitions, performances, and programs at the highest level of excellence for the SAIC Department of Exhibitions and Exhibition Studies. The Director of Exhibitions Operations will serve as a resource school-wide for exhibition planning for projects that occur both on and off campus and annually represent over 1,000 artists. The Director will develop and oversee expanded exhibitions scheduled in multiple locations, training programs for preparators and students, and participate in setting and achieving goals for the department as an integrated academic and administrative unit that serves the student body and faculty, Chicago art community, and contemporary art field.
